Bronze → Silver

Placement to climbing out of the bottom

Almost no one plays Strategist. Hero choice matters less than role fill.

Pick

  • Luna Snow Strategist

    Universal pick. Easy heal kit, ult that wins fights single-handedly.

  • Punisher Duelist

    Hitscan with no movement tech to learn. Aim is the hardest thing your team has at this rank.

  • Groot Vanguard

    Walls block enemy ults. Forgiving positioning. Planet X Pals carries low-rank teamfights.

Avoid

  • Spider-Man — Mechanical ceiling > floor. Tilts hard if your team can't follow up dives.
  • Magik — Portal tech requires comms. Solo-queue teammates won't rotate to your portals at this rank.

Gold → Platinum

Where most players plateau

Counter-picking starts to matter. Hero proficiency > raw aim.

  • Jeff the Land Shark Strategist

    Ult-swallow is a fight-winner at this rank. Players don't track ult timers; you do.

  • Captain America Vanguard

    Stars Aligned with Winter Soldier creates a frontline + flank pressure combo your team will follow.

  • Iron Fist Duelist

    Dives kill solo-positioning Strategists. At this rank, supports over-extend constantly.

Avoid

  • Hawkeye — Bow precision punished by Plat-tier maps with corners. Wait for Diamond+ where sightlines hold.
  • Doctor Strange — Portals need comms; positioning ceiling is beyond what Plat lobbies use.

Team-Ups define drafts. The right pick depends on the enemy's Team-Up, not the enemy hero.

    Cosmic Cyclone with Storm or Duality Dance with Luna — highest support ceiling at this rank.

Avoid

  • Squirrel Girl — Bouncing projectiles get walled by Diamond positioning. No Team-Up to anchor.
  • Namor — Turrets can't out-pressure coordinated Diamond comps. Bring sustained DPS.

    Chilling Assault and Blessing of the Kumiho — two top-tier anchors. Universal flex.

Avoid

  • Deadpool — Multi-Role flex sounds elite but at this rank, single-role specialists out-execute jack-of-trades.
  • Parker Power-Up dependents — C-tier Team-Up at this rank. Spider-Verse comps fall to Symbiote Shenanigans + dive-counters.
